With over 25 years in the commercial industry, we are able to use our knowledge and experience to bring together furniture that co-ordinates, is truly modern and a 'this goes with that' design concept.

We believe all workplaces should be functional, but also a place to bring out the best in us. This is greatly improved by having a dynamic and modern working environment.

Certification and Recycling
Long before it has become fashionable to recycle, we have been involved in the recycling at the end of product life. We have our own storage facilities to allow storage of system furniture ready for end of life recycling. Products are held at workshop located in Winnellie, ready for dismantling and sorting of components for recycling.

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products (at end of life)  by recycling or holding products and components for reuse. Many of our products have an excellent life cycle story, to extend the life of the product.  Our core products meet the requirement of the Good Environmental Choice Label or similar programs; or equivalent national or international certification. Certificates available on request...

Our work experience program
We provide the opportunity for work experience for students. Kormilda College students have participated in our work experience program. We offer work experience for students in an office environment or office or on site. 
We are an equal opportunity business and offer work experience in a caring environment.  Holly from Kormilda has participated in both office and onsite work experience covering an insight into book-keeping along with basic installation of modular screens on site.

OUR TEAM 
Our son and daughter, Russ and Loren, have left their respective trades and for the past ten years have worked in the family business.  This brings a new dynamic to how we approach work.

We take a blended approach.  Ron, Russ and Loren are all able to work within the office environment, do the heavy lifting on site or project manage. We are proud to have landed premium projects over the years and work hard to deliver our projects on time and within budget.


   Loren | project manager

Project management is Loren’s passion and focus, from tendering right through to on-site installation and management of projects.  Having completed her horticultural certificates (Cert III) and leaving behind her job as a landscape gardener, Loren brings her unique energy to the business. When not at work Loren enjoys rock climbing archery and camping.

   Russ | site supervisor


Happy to leave behind his trade as a mechanic, Russ joined the family business and totally loves his work and the flexibility that comes with a family business. Russ is our site manager including our go to person for most other jobs.
 When not at work Russ can be guaranteed to be on the water fishing.  Life for Russ revolves around 'the tides'...

   Ron | managing director


After 15 years as Site Supervisor with a major building company, Ron commenced Vystan Interiors.  Ron believed the way forward was in modular system furniture. Ron definitely got that right! That was back in 1989.   

When not at work, Ron enjoys travelling the outback and fishing our local rivers.

I joined Ron when we first opened our business, specialising in office refurbishment.   With over 25 years in the business I still enjoy tendering or putting together furniture packages, and of course the thrill of winning the work…

When not at work I enjoy reading, anywhere, anytime.

As our core business is servicing designers, architects and builders, furniture and products featured on this site may be custom made or indent, and therefore have extended lead times.  Pricing is therefore indicative only, and naturally based on finishes selected, quantities and installation.

Advanta is an Australian family run business of over 24 years, specialising in the manufacture and import of quality components, and quality chairs, tubs and lounge for the commercial environment. From Advanta we can provide a quality cross section of seating.  Many chairs are available with premium Australian foams.  Chairs are tailored for the Australian market, with many chairs using premium Australian foams.  

Our best selling suite of office chairs include Breathe Task, Aveya Ergonomic Collection and our Tempo multi purchase chairs. The Advanta brand provides good value, with attractive designs, quality components, custom fabrics and good stock levels for improved lead times.

Bevisco Commercial Interiors are proudly Australia and specialise in the manufacture of system furniture. Ongoing R&D, and years of experience assist our team in providing great outcomes for small and large projects.  

Many of the Bevisco workstations can be found on our larger projects, including Central Land Council Alice Springs, Charles Darwin University ACIKE, Charles Darwin University Trades Training Facility and Flinders NT Medical Program.

   Konfurb Seating
 Link to Konfurb Web Site Konfurb is our importer of tubs, collaborative seating and trend setting multi function seating.  Konfurb seating collection is available in house fabrics or specifier custom fabrics.   Longer lead times may apply for indent items if not available in Australia.

Finishes and qualification.  Some things to consider... 


Images and Product Upgrade

Please note all images are illustrative and our manufacturers or supply houses may exercise their discretion to upgrade, improve or withdraw product lines without due advice to our office.

Monitor Screens


A kindly reminder some finishes or material textures may not accurately reflect actual finish. Monitor screen settings may influence color hue and cannot be relied upon in selection of finishes.  Samples may be available, please contact our office in the first instance.  


Stainless Steel


The 304 stainless steel used for our hospitality furniture is not recommended for areas of high salinity. Stainless steel may stain over time if subjected to corrosive foodstuffs and chemicals.  This will void the warranty.  Please note stainless steel is rust resistant, but not rust proof.

Outdoor Furniture


Due to our extreme outdoor environment in Australia, we recommend general hospitality and outdoor furniture be placed outdoor undercover to extend life and visual finish of furniture.  Visual fading of polypropylene outdoor products does not necessarily mean the structural integrity of a product is affected.

Werzalit and Outdoor Tops


Refers to hospitality furniture.  Dark tops are prone to warping when placed in sunlit conditions due to heat saturation of substrate. It is recommended that light coloured Werzalit and outdoor tops be selected for outdoors where sunlight may alter stability of tops. Werzalit tops are not entirely flat and the manufacturer does not consider this to be a warranty fault.  The same consideration of selecting dark coloured tops applies to most hospitality brand tops.

About GECA Certification.  Furniture certified GECA [Good Environmental Choice Australia] for environmental choice, Australia Type 1 Eco Label; reflect consideration to the environment. 


Environmentally Responsible Materials | Our In-House Core Fabrics and Materials


With the growing awareness and demands for sustainable products, and commercial appeal of product lines offering green star points, our core in-house fabrics and substrates of furniture boards have been selected for their environmental initiatives.

SEATING FABRICS:
Our In-House fabrics include the Sustainable Living Chelsea Q for its lean wool properties. 
"Greenhouse gas emissions attributed to lean-wool are significantly less than those attributed to eco wool and wool".  Chelsea Q in-house fabric is certified low VOC, is warranted for twelve years and is recyclable through the Living Fabrics Recycling Programme (conditions apply).  Chelsea Q carries the About GECA and has been independently certified 'greenhouse friendly' under the Australian Government Greenhouse Friendly Initiative.  Chelsea Collection is also available for specifiers as an additional selection to Chelsea Q (Chelsea Collection is not in-house, longer lead times may apply).


PANEL SCREEN FABRICS:
Our In-House fabrics for modular partitions is Rim Evolve. Evolve is a textile designed in Australia, specifically for screen panels for workstations.  The textile is post-industrial recycled fibre and meets the Green Building Council of Australia 'compliance requirements'.


BOARDS: 
Our core selection of melamine boards is from the Laminex Commercial Core and Extended Collection.
The transition of Laminex from E1 substrates to E0 substrate is for reduced formaldehyde levels/emissions
.

POWDER-COAT CHART: 
Our powder-coat colour selection is from the DULUX Palette. Additional charges may be charge for some pearl finishes, and graffiti coating. 

PRODUCT CARE AND MAINTENANCE : 
It is important to understand that plastics and even some metals such as stainless steel cannot be cleaned with harsh chemical or certain cleaning products.  Please read how care for your loose furniture Product Care
